Consumer Loan Officer

Location: Corning, NY or Wilmington, NC

Corning Credit Union is seeking a Consumer Loan Officer to work in our Lending Call Center. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, customer service, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

The Loan Officer is responsible for gathering applicant information, reviewing and analyzing credit histories and making sound lending decisions.  Other duties include providing exceptional service, support, and education to our members including recommending additional products and services to meet their financial needs.

Client Support Specialist

Location: Corning, NY

Corning Credit Union is seeking an experienced Client Support Specialist to join our growing IT team. As a Client Support Specialist, you will work in an exciting, fast-paced environment where you will interact with IT professionals in a tightly integrated, team-oriented, cross-functional, collaborative atmosphere. 

The primary focus of a Client Support Specialist is to ensure accurate and timely resolution of service requests and projects. This position also has a direct impact on the delivery of quality team and member service. 

Job Duties:

  • Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots end-user workstation and thin/zero client hardware and networked peripheral devices
  • Receives and responds to calls and/or tickets regarding PC and/or software problems
  • Prioritizes based on team/member impact and demonstrates strong judgement and analytical skills to resolve issues in a timely manner to provide exceptional service
  • Accurately documents instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal
  • Works with the IT team to ensure a high level of system availability and resolution
  • Develops and maintains proper documentation of inventory

    Mortgage Originator

    Location: Corning, NY

    Corning Credit Union is seeking an experienced Mortgage Originator in the Corning, NY area. 

    The NY Mortgage Originator is primarily responsible for assisting our members with their real estate lending needs within our NY branch locations.

    Essential duties and responsibilities include:

    • Interviews loan applicants and assists members throughout the entire mortgage loan application process. Conducts member education and supports the member in selecting the right product for their needs.
    • Is creative in evaluating and offering alternative options to help qualify members for the loan requested.
    • Maintains strong knowledge regarding all applicable regulations and ensures adherence to Fair Lending requirements.
    • Executes accurate calculations and disclosures.
    • Strong outside sales and business development focus.
    • Builds and maintains strong realtor relationships and attends outside events and functions in order to grow the business and secure our reputation as a mortgage leader within the marketplace.
    • Maintains a specialized area of expertise such as; construction, low down payment programs, investment properties, or first time home buyers.

    Qualifications and Education:

    • 1 year of mortgage origination experience

    Deposit Product Development Manager

    Location: Corning, NY, Wilmington, NC, Surfside Beach, SC

    Corning Credit Union is seeking a Deposit Product Development Manager, primarily responsible for providing the vision and leadership necessary to enhance and develop strategy, performance metrics and processes for Corning Credit Union’s deposit-related products.  

    This role leverages innovative thinking and an exceptional process improvement orientation to ensure quality products, quality operations, and nimble relevance in a competitive and evolving financial marketplace. 

    Job Duties:

    • Accountable for working with departmental leaders and teams, for the performance and direction of the deposit product portfolio. This portfolio includes personal memberships, business accounts, special account types, checking accounts, savings accounts.
    • Acts as an internal consultant on a variety of product initiatives, conducting reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to improve both products and processes.
    • Conducts and/or coordinates detailed data analysis to track performance, trends and profitability of the deposit product portfolio.
    • Works with sales, marketing, member services and other teams to collect anecdotal data about members’ use of products to supplement data analysis.
    • Creates and manages a backlog of enhancements/bug fixes for the product portfolio for Agile development and participates in sprint planning with Systems Development, automation or vendor resources as applicable.
    • Leads projects related to the deposit product portfolio and implements new products and programs to enhance offerings and improve service to members.
    • Coordinates deposit product stakeholders to provide a coherent strategy that incorporates input from multiple viewpoints within including InfoSec and Compliance as well as teams working directly with the products.

    Qualifications and Education:

    • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
    • Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and delegate responsibilities
    • Effectively manages stress in a constantly changing environment
    • Has excellent judgment and the ability to make quick decisions and think outside the box when working with complex situations

    Systems Administrator II

    Location: Corning, NY

    Corning Credit Union is seeking a Systems Administrator II, primarily responsible for ensuring the stable operation of the computer systems. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all server hardware, software, and network storage.

    Job Duties:

    • Deploys, configures and maintains all server systems
    • Regularly monitors system performance and uptime statistics
    • Manages upgrades and patches to servers and applications, employing proficient research and troubleshooting techniques
    • Proactively develops, implements, and maintains standard operating procedures, system configuration documentation, and inventory logs
    • Administers and maintains user accounts, permissions, and access rights
    • Configures and monitors backup and recovery systems
    • Effectively coordinates and/or leads small to moderate projects with limited oversight
    • Openly shares knowledge and provides appropriate guidance and mentoring to junior members of the IT team
    • Consistently employs exceptional judgment and out-of-the box thinking when working with complex situations, making quick yet thorough decisions

    Competencies:

    • Proficient technical skills in Server operating systems, including both Windows and Linux

    • Ability to understand and compose scripts to automate administrative processes
    • Working knowledge of cloud server management
